Left: Solarforce L2M body with L2T head and L2P recessed tail switch - loaded with Customlites 4-mode Nichia 219B drop-in
Right: Solarforce L2M body (shortened), with a 16340 battery, and a International Outdoors XP-L U5 7A3 3-mode drop-in.
Both hosts also have the B6 stainless bezel. I love those things!
One of my personal favorites:
This was a stock Solarforce L2P host, but has undergone several changes. The stock head was replaced with an A001 head, and the switch was replaced with an S12 stainless switch. A B6 stainless bezel was installed.
The body was replaced with a Surefire 6P, bored out for a 18650 battery.
It's loaded with a SportacTriple Nichia 219B 2-mode drop-in.
cree, red & uv light
cool design edc light
Have you bought your second yet? No excuse not to own at least two with that price.
1 x Large Tube
1 x Large Tube Astrolux Head
1 x Small Tube
That BLF A6 deal is too tempting. Just picked up a second 3D light! Thanks for the heads-up!
They're so cheap I can't help wanting more even though I have two and an Astrolux S41 which is pretty similar.
This is one of many EDC lights I like to carry (usually in a pack). It's also the most modified Solarforce Frankenstein light I own.
Surefire 6P body, bored out for 18650 batteries, Solarforce A001 head, with B6 stainless bezel, and S12 stainless switch.
It's loaded with a Sportac Triple Nichia 219B 2-mode drop-in. Absolutely beautiful color rendition, in a nice, floody beam.
How do you like your lumintop, I got one from Massdrop not sold on it yet. I like momentary when you push the button down.
I like it a lot for quick "breast pocket carry" as it does not dangle around like smaller single AAAs, but sits tight like a pen. Gave the Cree I got from Massdrop to my mother and opted for a Nichia from China, though.
Today, I EDC'd this baker's dozen (The Zebralight SC600w Mk III, in my pocket, and the rest in my pack). They're spread out here, on a counter top.
Here is a view of the lights, as they're packed in a side pocket of my pack, for travel (to work, or wherever).
I tend to really like those Olight cases for my EDC lights (for the most part). Got my first one, when I purchaed an M20-X, years ago, and have been buying them ever since lol.
I also had a Pelican 1010 case, with 5 backup 18650 and 2 backup 26650 batteries. The Fenix PD40 is only one in the bunch that uses these.
I know...I'm fanatical.
I can put in the details of each light, if anyone's interested.
