Some patina on copper, brass, bronze and steel
hey @Antithetik I want to put a patina on a pry that I made to help with rust/wear. What would you recommend me using?? It's tool steel, but it does rust fairly easily. I want to cover the bare steel with a nice dark grey patina. You're the patina dude!
Depends, I mostly work with lemon juice, mustard and white vinegar to get some lighter shades of grey...if you really wanna go dark, better use "patina out of the bottle" like those two...
The Ballistol is a gun black finishing and rather aggressive, right one is mostly for copper and brass and a little easier to control when washing off pretty quickly...prybar in the second picture is blacked out with the Ballistol and coin washed for a little shiny edges....
I get to participate here now.

At work I use two different keys for 95% of the time. Found this one on the ground beside the cabinet, now sure how long it has been there. it makes it easy to know which is which.
