IMG_1310.JPG i will always have an Emerson Super Commander. Truly fits my XL sized hand perfectly as if it was custom made to my hand. Asymmetric grind on a recurve can be a challenge to sharpen but with patience gets wicked sharp. IMG_1311.JPG

Well, I was gonna leave it at that, but I wanted to give a shout-out to the people at Arm & Hammer.

Their cat litter boxes are a true test of cutting performance. The Batum faired well.

Large Batum. A ways back, there was a thread posted on Bladeforums about carrying a single knife for a month. I thought it was a good way to learn about a knife, so now I do it with every new one.

IMO, the small Batum is a little... small, for my tastes. I've been thinking way too hard about this, and 3" blade is about the sweet spot for me.

To the point where I won't look at anything with a blade less than 2.75", because they get lost in long push cuts, and anything over 3.5" is just too large for me to use the point the way I need to use it.

I have these, but I only usually carry one or two knives, on-person - usually one of my three Chives, and the Black Endura 4 -both, indispensable knives, in my opinion.

The rest get carried in my pack, along with that Champion Plus, the Wingman and Rebar.

I used to carry as many as ten lights, on-person (if you can believe that), by going crazy with belt holsters, and loading up my cargo pockets; AND as many as six knives or so; but that all changed, a while back. I prefer having the extra stuff in a pack that I can get to whenever I please.
