I was watching a Hawk for a while on the bay but never pulled the trigger. A month ago I've seen the Ti version in a shop for 100 swiss francs, luckily the shop was closed I also like(d) the Chill a lot, I just wish they'd make a sprint run in a better steel,VG10 at least. But sadly I've lost my Chill, RIP I'd say,,, Yep, it’s photophucket, but there’s the Photobucket Hotlink Fix. It’s available for Firefox and Chrome https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/photobucket-fix/
A Chill in VG 10--that would be outstanding. (I had no idea they issued a titanium Hawk.) Sorry to hear about your Chill. I gather you're located on the other side of the pond, where a Kershaw carries import costs.
I had a Hawk...it never really fit my hand and I couldn’t get my fat thumbs to always flick it open. The Chill is a huge improvement.
Usually it's cheap enought to evade taxes but shipping is around $12 - $20, quite a lot for a $20- $30 knife. But a VG-10 or S30V/carbon fiber version would be cool, even though I'd add plus 10-20% to my wish list
Is this a folder with ball bearings? If so, can you say something about how you drilled the holes and what kind of washers you used? Maybe you even have some pictures of the disassembled knife? For my ball bearing knife I've found a tool on the company's lathe which worked pretty well.
I counter bored the inside of the scale (at the pivot) and then fit it with a SS washer. The SS washer is used as a race for the bearings to ride upon. Very smooth! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
