Whats you home defense weapon for those things that go bump in the night?

Believe it or not, my go to is a "tacti-cooled" Ruger 10/22 with a TRL1S mounted on. I live in an apartment complex, so I have to worry about over penetration. I use 22 hollow points, and have the quick detach double ended Ruger Mags. 25 rounds each. If I can't hit what I'm aiming at with 50 rounds, I shouldn't be shooting at it in the first place!

Aside from showers and play time with the wife I always have these items on me so they would be my first choice.

Bedside safe has another Ruger SR9c and a Fenix PD35, meant for the wife. If I decide to hit the safe downstairs my grab and go would be the Mossberg 500 Tactical Persuader with birdshot, first thing you can grab in the safe when you open the door.

I think most homeinvaders would take off running as soon as they hear the charging of a pump-action shotgun...

I have an AR-15 in .223 as my primary home defense right now. Still backed up by the Glock 17 and HK USP.

This little one is still waiting for me to afford enough ammo to see if it is reliable enough to take the main job. Too many more important things to spend money on.

Very nice. 10.5 inch? I totally understand the no $$$ for ammo debacle. I finish my first AR build next week and only have 17 rounds of 556 currently. It's looking like it's going to be a couple months before I can run 1000+ rounds through mine for its initial break in. Also, now I have to start the whole stockpile another caliber nonsense.

I told myself for so long I didn't need to get into the AR world and held out for the last 15 years. Hilary almost getting elected caused me to fear buy a lower that I've just had to start building on.

Here's a pic of my current build. The barrel should be here next week.

Mine is a budget 7.5" build in .300 AAC Blackout. I think I'm going to order some Magpul MBUS for it and a Holosun red dot, along with some ammo to test it out. If it proves reliable at that point, I'll at least put an X300 on it.

Looking forward to your build!

Chainsaw. I live in a neighborhood where houses are very very close, so if someone was breaking into my house in the middle of the night, the whole neighborhood would hear me cranking up a chainsaw. Plus I'm pretty sure any intruder would quickly surmise they done messed with the wrong house if they saw me standing in the middle of a room wearing nothing but a pair of crocs, a chainsaw and a smile.

I do get a lot of door to door people in my neighborhood and I usually answer the door topless with an aluminum youth baseball bat. It's really fun to channel my inner Negan.

Trying not to drool. Tell me about this. Bufferless bolt? Suppressed?

Thanks Man,
It has the Law Tactical folding stock so w a push of a button the buffer tube folds out. No suppressor (yet) just a 7.5" Wylde barrel w a linear compensator and free-float handgaurd.

Still silenced mk18. Wearing a CompM5 on a geissele 1.93 mount now; still a surefire scout, WOTG sling, LWRCi stock, ar-10 flat buffer spring, gemtech BCG.

Super-fast inside a room. With a longer optic, good out to 400 yds. I can't really ask for better unless it's a KAC ambi lower.

Home Defense Weapon: Taurus Judge loaded with .410 000Buck. That gives me 5 shots before my wife gets involved with the Rem 877 and 12ga. 00Buck. If things are still going sideways at that point, then it is most likely a SWAT team (with a mistaken address) coming through the door and not some moron who picked the wrong house.

I have a few but realistically I grab for this. It sits on my nightstand.
